Plaid <> JP Morgan Chase integration may become periodically disconnected
Last updated: July 15, 2026
Tabs has identified an issue with the integration between JP Morgan Chase and Plaid, affecting workflows using third party integrations, including Tabs cash app and payments.
This may result in the connection to Plaid requiring re-authentication. In this case, you will see a "Plaid Connection Expired" flag on the Integrations icon on the left navbar in your Tabs account.

You can resolve by clicking into the integrations, clicking "Manage," and re-authenticating.

In some cases, the integration may subsequently become disconnected again.
This can result in incorrect payment status showing in Tabs, where customers have paid but invoices are still show as pending.
As a workaround, we can suggest that you download bank statements as a CSV and upload them in the Tabs app for cash application. Alternatively, you can assess whether to use another bank.
We have escalated the issue to Plaid and JP Morgan Chase.
In the interim, we are monitoring merchant accounts which use JP Morgan Chase, and are reaching out to notify merchants where we detect that Plaid has become disconnected.
