How to Connect Rillet to Tabs

Overview
The Tabs <> Rillet integration allows Tabs to sync invoicing, customer, and accounting data with Rillet.
Once connected, Tabs can:
Sync customers between systems
Push invoices and credit memos to Rillet
Import products and chart of accounts from Rillet
Push journal entries during month-end close workflows
Before You Start
Before connecting Rillet to Tabs, confirm the following:
You have admin access in both Tabs and Rillet
You have access to Rillet API key settings
Close Management is enabled in Tabs if you plan to sync Journal Entries to Rillet
Step 1: Generate an API Key in Rillet
In Rillet:
Navigate to Organization Settings
Open API Keys
Generate a new API key for Tabs
Copy and securely store the API key
Step 2: Connect Rillet in Tabs
In Tabs:
Navigate to Integrations
Select the Rillet integration tile
Paste the API key generated in Rillet
Click Connect
Once connected, Tabs will automatically import:
Customers
Products
Chart of Accounts
Bank Accounts
Historical invoices
Step 3: Configure Cash and Reconciliation Accounts
After connecting the integration, configure the following settings within the Rillet integration page in Tabs. This is only required if you are using Tabs for cash application.
Cash Account
The Rillet account where incoming invoice cash is posted.
Reconciliation Accounts
The accounts used for invoice write-offs and reconciliation workflows.
Step 4: Validate the Integration
We recommend validating the following before going live.
Customer Sync
Create or update a customer in Tabs
Confirm the customer appears in Rillet
Invoice Sync
Send a test invoice from Tabs
Confirm the invoice appears correctly in Rillet
Credit Memo Sync
Apply a credit memo in Tabs
Confirm it syncs to Rillet
Journal Entry Sync
Run a month-end close workflow in Tabs
Confirm journal entries appear correctly in Rillet
